Continuing exploration of problem-solving and justification.

So, if justification is building up, and problem solving is tearing down, how is that different from the building up or tearing down through growth?

First, take this as a given: having a Justification (or having a wall as described here) balances out your world. It hides everything and makes you feel like everything is fine.

Then, think of your Main Character this way:

The world changes (or you change, one or the other) and now having that wall (Change MC), or not having that wall (Steadfast MC) becomes a problem.

The world has changed, your place in the world has changed, and now there is a new inequity.

This is the beginning of your story.

(And yes, it is an endless cycle…)
