No, I haven’t already given up on the Story Project…just using my spare to time to finish up some late-night animation for a summer movie about robots smashing into each other (well, not so much the movie, but more the video game for it!)
But as you wait with bated breath for the next exciting installment of Dramatica-goodness, there is something you can do…something that I did that I’m very, very proud of.
I finally, finally remembered to rent the Dramatica User Group’s movie a week before the meeting!

This is a big deal. Usually I wait until the weekend before, then scramble around my local video stores trying to find a DVD of some rare indie film (that of course, has a great story!).
But not this time. This time I actually used Netflix and it’s sitting at home, just waiting to be played and later, analyzed.
If you want to join in the fun, rent The Maltese Falcon, the movie under review at this month’s User Group meeting.
I believe I saw this movie once way back during my CalArts years. All I remember is liking it. Now it’ll be interesting to see why.
So go out. Rent it, and try to figure out the storyform for it. Of course, if you try to use Netflix, you won’t find it, ’cause I have it!
