Chris reviews “Flightplan”

October 19th, 2005 · 2 Comments

FlightplanWas looking forward to this as the trailer looked fantastic. The story, however, looks like it might have had a few problems. As Chris puts it:

the story jettisons the storyform mid-flight and goes in for a forced landing.

Bummer. I’ll still check it out…but only on DVD.

Read Chris Huntley’s review of Flightplan.

I think I may have over-sold the failings of Flightplan. As an entertainment I thought it was pretty good and would recommend seeing it. I really like Jodie Foster and think she does a great job in the film. She manages the fine line between “is she nuts or is she right?” beautifully and effectively. However, I think the overall film experience would have been improved by fixing the problem(s) described in my analysis.

Oh - I’ll still see it.

I only read the first paragraph (because I didn’t want to be spoiled) so it was hard to comment on it.

      But thanks for clarifying…
